I have been trying to log in since around 0530 hrs today. I need to pay a bill urgently, but they just have a notice saying it is unavailable due to essential maintenance. Nothing about how long this will take. Still down.

They expect it to be back up by 1pm, according to their tweets

Their twitter feed says an ETA of 1pm today.

Strangely, their mobile apps are still working - if you've already setup the mandate it should should work or it can also send up to £250 to any account number/sort code (assuming you don't require a reference field)

This has me worried as the Co-op have seemingly failed to find a buyer in the past days. Hope they have not gone into administration.

No need to worry along these lines. This is strictly technical and specifically website related.

The app is working fine for all transfers and bill payments, and full service is available over the phone, too (although probably a bit businer than normal).

(It would be forced resolution by The Bank Of England, rather than administration, and if it were to happen it would be very carefully managed by the BoE/regulator with minimal customer impact so wouldn't happen like this - let's not start a panic on the web!!)

    Smile seems to working OK.

Co-op and Smile usually go down together, when they do.

Me too! Very worrying when we can't access our accounts or carry out transactions. No message on their page, and I don't know how to use twitter.

You don't need to use twitter. Just use a phone.

03457 212 212 is providing a full telephone banking service, including transfers and bill payments.

The app (if you have it) is fully working, too.

The Co-op will not disappear in a puff of smoke, even if BoE force it into resolution.

Let's not start a Northern Rock style panic.
