Balance Transfer From A Barclaycard

I'm new to this and have never posted before (I have scrolled back quite far to see if I could find the answer to my question before posting)

So my question is ......
Who does/doesn't accept balance transfers from a Barclaycard ??

I applied many years ago to do a balance transfer from my Barclaycard but after I applied for the new card I got a letter saying they wouldn't accept balance transfers in from a Barclaycard so never tried to apply for anything else as I didn't want to make the same mistake.
Any help & advice would be greatly appreciated

Other than another Barclaycard (or anything from the Barclaycard stable), all cards will process it.

That's my problem I don't know who else is associated with them ☹️ And I made the mistake before of applying for a card that wouldnt accept it. Do you know where I can find a list that says who they are associated with, as I've tried to ring them and got nowhere.

The simplest way is to check who the card you want is issued by. It'll be easy to find on any provider's website.

If I remember however when I had an Amex Gold charge card I wasn't able to transfer the balance over to Barclaycard - this was due to it being a charge card and having 15 digits instead of the usual 16 digits.

Hi Candyapple,

I've already got a Barclaycard Platinum. That's the card I need to do a balance transfer from onto a new card that will accept a balance transfer in from Barclaycard.

The following will accept balance transfers from Barclaycard: Santander, Tesco, Lloyds, Halifax, MBNA, Creation, First Direct

Source: myself as I have used them to do BTs from Barclaycard

Pretty sure most credit card companies would accept a BT from Barclaycard. The only ones that come to mind that you might have probs with would be a store card (e.g. Argos card), Vanquis card, Bank of Ireland card such as Post Office card as I have read about some people having issues with those.
