    It was on sta travel and a few others. Whether it was because it was just after Christmas and the cairns to auckland was during the Chinese new year I'm not sure but it was adding up

    Sixth Anniversary
    Getting to the USA via Amsterdam/Schiphol is a very convenient option for me, living near Norwich Airport. It removes the hassle and cost of travelling down to one of the London airports. It would be worth checking how the overall cost compares for you.

    Assuming it is a single ticket with the minimum connection time at LHR, some people might go for it on the basis that, although they will miss out on a few hours of their holiday, they are likely to pocket EU compensation money if there is a delay on the first leg.
