Hey,
not sure if this is the right place to ask this,
but can you go on this site on the Safari web browser that comes with an apple mac?
I've heard that many sites are designed in such a way as to only be recognised by Internet Explorer because it's so common. I don't know if that is true or not, it's just what I have heard!
Thanks for any help,
xxx

Why don't you give it a try.. even if you are not currently on a mac you can install safari from here.
I can confirm this site works fine in safari by the way, I have most browsers on my system for testing my own sites.
It isn't that some sites just "aren't recognised" it's just sometimes some small part of functionality may be lost and it's all to do with the person who created the website. If they follow the standards laid out by the W3C then the site will work in every browser. If anyone ever designs a site to intentionally only work in IE then they deserve shooting
MSE also uses vBulletin which is cross-browser written and meets the W3C's standards (mostly).0 -
Im on safari right now and have never had a problem on this website0

cheers, thank you!
it's just I'm due to get a mac as part of my new college course, and I thought I may as well sell the PC as I won't need it at all.
I was just worried because I'm relying on this site for a lot of things and didn't want to miss out on it!
