Vodafone or Three?

Dear All,
On Saturday I applied for a mobile contract with Vodafone. It processed through and I waited but it appeared that I had been rejected.
On the basis I applied for a contract with 3 mobile.
Come today - and it looks like I have been accepted for both.
The deals are both pretty much the same Vodafone being £1 cheaper - Vodafone contract comes with the Apple iPhone SE and 3 mobile with a Samsung Galaxy 8.
My question is which network is generally best?
Thanks

Three, if you were to search the forum for complaints I bet VF would come out on top.
I take it you have tested both networks yourself in your area ?0 -
Entirely down to coverage in the areas in which you will be, not anyone else's location.
If they're fairly equal then it's down to your personal preference for iOS or Android.0 -
Neither, with a phone. You will be saddled with the phone/SIM package for 2 years.
Go SIM only, there is a lot of changes to contracts due on EU roaming and bill capping. Vodafone have already announced price rises, probably to cover EU roaming.0 -
In the Southeast, I've found Vodafone to have much better coverage, and the network is more reliable.0

Check which has the best coverage where you are.
For us vodaphone coverage is good for 2G but anything more and its virtually none existent!
Personally as Frozen_up_north has suggested I would go SIMO for a bit unless you have a desperate need for a phone!“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0 -
Thanks for all your help.
As for coverage - I travel alot around the country so need one that is most reliable in most places. Home wise I am in London so have found all networks to be fairly similar.
I need it quite a bit in France - both packages I have includes using it in France as if I was at home.0 -
In terms of roaming Vodafone have a slight advantage over Three U.K. ahead of the upcoming changes in June.
However Vodafone customer service leaves a lot to be desired-they've been helpful and sorted out my problems in the past but I think I've been very lucky in that aspect.
Both offer Wi-Fi Calling for areas with poor coverage; Vodafone and o2 have been working in conjunction to share masts and improve reception too. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -

However, it's all change in mid June, so don't rush into a new contract just yet... hopefully the networks should announce their changes in a couple of weeks as they need to give 30 days notice to contract customers.0
