I don't have a great understanding of SumUp and iZettle but am I right in that if you can't get wifi then they won't work? Also I've seen mention of connecting to Bluetooth but as this is something I don't understand not sure what it means. Can anyone help as I would love to be able to get something so I can take card payments but I do my stalls. Thanks
you can get various apps that will also turn your mobile or tablet into a mobile terminal, even the dedicated mobile card terminals require a wifi connection, but this does not stop these from working as all you need it a phone that you can turn into a mobile hotspot and use that connection

Has anyone a recommendation for a basic smartphone for use with iZettle?
No need for camera or bells and whistles.

Tried to run the app on my Moto E gen 1 but not enough capacity.

In short if you have a smart phone you install the app and connect the phone and card reader via Bluetooth, past that it will then use your phones internet connection to do the transaction which can be mobile internet (3g/4g) or wifi.

In short I can use my sum up machine anywhere I get a mobile signal.
