Another way would be to just remove the brown wire from its switch terminal and connect into the same terminal that the blue is in and keep the switch.
This has the (dubious) benefit of allowing all those people who switch off the light when leaving the room to continue to do so without asking you "where's the light switch gone?".
The switch of course will have no effect.

Another alternative - A key switch http://www.screwfix.com/p/varilight-z2dg201dkw-20a-double-pole-key-switch-white/80708 - This enables you to turn power off to the light should you ever need to do any work on it.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
