Indoor sensor

Hi

I fitted a Lap ceiling motion sensor to the downstairs toilet, as I was fed up of people leaving the light on!!

The switch is outside and is always switched on, but force of habit means people still press the switch when entering.

Is there a type of blanking plate I can get which keeps it switched on?

Thanks for your help.

    yes - it's called a blanking plate!

Connect the switch wires in a terminal block or similar behind it.

Thanks for the reply, but it if it's just connected to a terminal block, it won't be switched on.

It will be permanently live if you're removing the switch.
  • A terminal block is used to make an permanent connection between the live and switch live cables.

Hi. I've just tried that with a terminal block, but it's not working.

    Inside the switch?

Just the 3. Brown, Blue & Earth.

    I love this forum.

Even when it's obvious I've been a jerk!

Thank you for your help. All working.

There should really be two brown cables or the blue should have been sleeved brown.
