My contract with CPW [through e2save] is about to finish in a month....
I called CPW today to get disconnected at the end of my contract....
I was offered another 12months contract
50min 100 Texts £25/month
But they will credit £300 in my account straight away
No need for Cashback vouchers to send...
I asked why you do that? They say just to keep the customer with them.
Have anyone of come across this? Is there a catch / should I take this offer...please suggest:o

It sounds like an o2 contract.
They did this with me last year(o2 direct) they do it for the reason stated, and rely on you going over your allowance to claw back some money.
Get it in writing before agreeing.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -

I am waiting for a contract!
I felt rather than just disconnecting, take the offer! esp no hassle of cashback vouchers
Thanks for your reply:o0 -
I got the same deal from them today.0

hi all,
I was offered this deal..£35 per month that will give you 600minutes and also 1000 text messages, with this you will also get the Long weekends, this gives you an additional 2000 minutes per month to use on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. You will also get a total of £476 via redemption. In order to claim this you will need to send in your 6th 12th and 18th bill. These minutes are cross net work any time. 18 month contract
No phone thou,hopes this helps.0 -
Hi,
Just be very wary a friend of mine was offered an offer like this, but when it came to paying they said he had to do cashback, even though they agreed that he had been offered a deal where he did not need to apply.
I think he decided that since they were going to give him the money he would not argue any more, but it seemed bizarre that from my understanding CPW agreed that they had offered it to him and that is what he agreed to, but then said that they were not going to honour it because their operator should not have made the offer in the first place.
So beware...0 -
my dad had a simlar deal with upfront credit to his account... he hasnt paid a bill since june last year and is still well in credit...
got a new deal for my mum whereby they are sending £150 cheques automatically every 4 months. They're getting them with no issues at all.
CPW seem to have lifted their game in the last 12 months.. the deals i was offreed seemed endless and havent found any catches 8 months down the line....0 -
If you do cancel your CPW o2 contract then you may get a call from a nice lady at CPW offering to reduce your line rental for the last month as a goodwill gesture. This is very nice of them, but please check that you don't have an outstanding Cashback claim as they will not honour it because of the change of tariff. Very sneeky CPW, very sneeky...........I say what I like, I like what I say!0
