I've recently been watching a few of the late night repeats of Bullseye on TV. (Sad I know!).
That car pictured above still looks like a limo compared to some of the "Star prizes" in the early days of the show. Motors such as the Morris Ital and Talbot Samba and they looked like they were the base models with no extras at all.0 -

I later had a Dolomite in Russet Brown - known universally by a slightly different term, rhyming with log bit, because that is exactly the colour it was.
Sandglow was better, marginally. If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0 -

Classic. (not an picture of the actual car)
That looks like a 2200HLS variant - my dad had one of those in Tahiti Blue.0 -

We'd then one of these in this colour - Alabaster Yellow. :eek:0 -

I think its a new model out, so that might be tricky right now.
Having said that, there will probably be 100s of pre-reg / ex-Nissan "management" / ex-lease cars about in a few months.0 -

Car way ahead of its time. You could check the tyres were inflated from inside the car whilst driving.
Usually through holes in the floor pan.0 -
My first car was a rust brown Morris Marina, though whether that was the original colour or not is open to debate: it may well have been the log bit colour referred to above. Bought for a £100, serviced by a mate and sold for £70 after 10 months. Pretty cheap motoring I reckon.
As for the OP, although a regular on this board I don't think they've sussed the place yet and can tend to get a bit angsty about less important things. I can't be the only one who lets other people have the depreciation and I've never yet let colour be a factor in my car choices.0 -
We had a Princess 1800HL for many years. Flamenco Red with a black vinyl roof which I used to polish with black wax and a shoe brush. Very comfortable but poor quality paint.0
