I wonder how long it'll be before the OP tries to delete his postAnyone with car insurance info know the issues if you have the car registered at one place say parents but live somewhere else unofficially with partner?
Would the insurance still be valid.
I understand if it was too save money it could regarded as fraud. But if there is no financial benefit. Could there be any adverse issues with the cover in case of a claim. There is a reason behind it. It is so there is official trace of car being registered at that address. For various financial reasons. Ie benefits of the person who official lives there. Not at all. I am just asking about legality with insurance of having car registered one place but owner living somewhere else
Sorted that one0 -
Maybe they are thinking... If your already committing benefit fraud then adding some insurance fraud wont add much to the fine and sentence?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

I will not be trying to delete the post the question is valid and still stands. Where I have even once said I was doing anything wrong or illigal?0

Whilst you haven't directly said that you were doing something illegal, saying that you want to insure a vehicle stating it will be left at an address where it won't actually be kept for the purpose of "various financial reasons. Ie benefits of the person who official lives there" certainly comes over as something dodgy going on.0 -

And not just the spelling and grammar.0 -

So there's no intention to hide your true living arrangements, in order to increase the amount of benefits or the like paid to the "public" occupant of the property?
So perhaps you could clarify the reasons not to be honest with the insurer about the address the car is normally kept at?0 -
Please as you think you know it all. How am I / or planning to commit benefit fraud?
I work full time. Live in my own house. My car is a company car so is not registered for insurance to any residential address. I pay all my taxes. My girlfriend does not drive and lives with me pays her taxes is registered at my home and claims no benefit. I have no plans for any of this to change.
Please once again. Please explain what I am doing wrong? If you go over my email again it is very clear I am just asking a question.
Maybe some people should get off their high horses and spend more time reading before writing.0 -

So not benefit fraud, just Insurance fraud.
As pointed out before, if you have intentionally miss led your Insurers then they are legally allowed to void your policy, not pay your claims and then pursue you personally for any monies they pay out to any third parties.
If you have obtained quotes online for your actual address in your own name then your Insurers will be able to trace this and it can be regarded as fairly conclusive proof that you intentionally miss led them if the premium is less at your parents0 -

OK, so we got the wrong end of the stick when you said...Anyone with car insurance info know the issues if you have the car registered at one place say parents but live somewhere else unofficially with partner? There is a reason behind it. You can see how that might have led to the assumptions it did?
But you now have me even more confused.
Your car is a company car. Your girlfriend lives with you at your property, but doesn't drive.
So who are we talking about, what car, and why shouldn't the insurance be told that it's normally kept where it's normally kept?0
