Penny Shares-Help
Comments
-
There is no such thing as "penny shares". I guess any share that has a current price less than £1. They are no different so if the company is able to and wants to then they pay out dividends.
Having a price under £1 MIGHT mean they have shrunk and are therefore less likely to pay out, but you can't really tell anything from the share price. Companies frequently consolidate or split shares to keep the price within certain bounds.0 -
These shares were one penny when first bought , they are now worth 33 pence.0

Hi,
If they are indeed now worth 33p, then nice profit, but I would think actual price is 0.33p, or even 0.31p.
Price.0 -
Thanks. I was told by direct investments the other day their value was 36p todays price and 31p for sale.
I'm sure you can tell I'm not an experienced investor.0 -
Hi,
maybe I've got the wrong company.
What's the symbol for your company?0 -
If it's W resources that I mentioned earlier in the thread then it's 0.31p.0

Hi,
that's the one I have link to in post 14.0 -
I think the symbol is WERS. I only quoted the value given to me by TD Direct Investments, during a phone call. Maybe they knew they were talking to a complete shares dumbo. I now wish I'd never got involved with these shares. It all seems very iffy to me.0
