Of course, so that when they contact PE on your behalf, PE know who they are dealing with, otherwise how do they know which ticket to cancel?
No need to 'address' the donotreply email. Start it off 'Dear Chief Executive' or 'Dear Managing Director', or just a basic 'Dear Sir'.
No template - always phrase a comaint in your own words. They are much more likely to deal with a personal complaint, because if there was such a template they, by now, would have seen hundreds from this forum - they wouldn't be still cancelling tickets now, that's for sure.
Appreciate the helpWill let you know how it goes.

Thank you. I meant what would I do if they do cancel? Would I notify PE they cancelled or would Morrisons do it on my behalf (but I think I know the answer to that question now).
its not "cancelled" until PE contact you in writing (post or email) stating that it is cancelled, so consider it as "live" until you get written confirmation from PE
in theory , MORRISSONS get PE to cancel it and you get EMAILS or LETTERS back saying so
if this hasnt happened by day 25 after the date on your postal pcn, submit the blue text appeal as keeper on the PE website0 -
PE (for all their other venal attributes) are good at notifying cancellation. You get a letter in the post around 7-10 days of Ms telling you it's cancelled.
You can also check on the PE website (go as if to pay the ticket) to see if the ticket is still 'current' or 'no record'.
If you get an email from Ms confirming cancellation, and you hear nothing from PE, and you're near to the PE appeal deadline, send in your initial appeal (from the NEWBIES sticky) adding a final paragraph and a copy of the Ms email to tell them that Ms have confirmed cancellation. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I've sent the email and just waiting to hear back, hopefully within the next week0 -
Just a quick update, I got a reply from Morrisons yesterday saying that the fine would be cancelled. Thanks everyone for the help and advice. Could not have done it without you.0

In my experience - and my wife has, over a period of time 'collected' a number of these insidious letters from parking Eye, they NEVER notify cancellation...
The latest one we got - sorry she got - was from our local Morrisons. I wrote to their Head Office and I got a letter saying they would cancel it. In the meantime I'd got fed up of waiting and went into the local Morrisons Store (Bangor, North Wales) and spoke to a nice lady at the desk who said should this happen again to come into the store and she'd cancel it there and then. :T0 -
Blimey, this thread is almost 8 months old. As you’re so expert on ParkingEye methodology, why aren’t you on here regularly to advise people how to deal with them. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
