  • This is great!

Went on holiday last week to see OH (who is in HM Forces abroad just now) and despite all good intentions spent over what i had hoped for. However it was on good food and thus good memories and i haven't come home with loads of pressies or tat and did manage not to buy anything in duty free, so could have been so much worse!

My other confession is that my signature is my own debts, but I also have a shared CC with OH that has wedding costs on it for our wedding that is now v soon - but we do have a plan as to how we are going to pay that back together and have started doing that already.
  • Brill thread IA - really made me laugh :rotfl:

At first I thought I didnt have anything to confess buuuuut...... then I remembered the UGG Australia boots I have ordered :o ( half the price of what I would have paid if I had bought them here but still about £70 ) I blame the grabbit board too :D I must have been a good girl though ( in a former life? ) because I have just come back from visiting my Nan and she has given me £150 :T

Forgive me Martin (and fellow DFW's) for I too have sinned. You may (or may not) have noticed that I haven't been around much lately. I've been shoving my head in the sand (literally) due to wanton holiday spending and outrageous gluttony. I am updating my siggy accordingly and I am deeply ashamed and annoyed with myself. Fortunately, all my debt is still at 0% and it is manageable, but, like the excess weight gained, it will take a little longer to shift now. (I did have a darn good holiday though...) :o

Forgive me Martin for I have truly sinned!

The reason I don't want to talk about my Littlewoods (see sig below) is because, in a moment of madness, I have ordered a Nintendo wii for my husbands anniversary present!

However, I will *try* and justify this expense -
I have had to cancel my gym membership because my husbands new job hours mean I can't go. This saves £36 per month.

If I get the games package on the Wii it will burn up the calories I would have used going to gym.

    Gym cancelled = £36 saved
Wii bought = £24 spent (monthly)

Therefore it sort of saves money. Allegedly. *Cough*

My husband is laughing as I squirmingly type this.

Thank goodness you don't know me personally - I could never live this down on the school run!

:o :embarasse I've just agreed to go out on a girlie night next Saturday - which is bound to cost £££.

I haven't been out with my girls for a very long while, (not this year) and I may come home before the club stage of the evening (yeah - right! ;) ) but it'll still be an expensive night out.

My friend N - bless her heart - will have scoped Bar A out for blokes by the time we've got served - and having found the talent somewhat lacking will exhort us to neck those drinks immediately so that we can proceed to Bar B where the same thing will happen.

The whole rigmarole continues until she finds something she likes - or we threaten to stab her with our stilettoes if we can't sit down for a while.:rotfl:

I'm really looking forward to it!

    Love Jacks xxx :D

    PS GREAT thread!! :T

    How long have you got?

Ok, I too fell foul of the grabit board, the Uggs accidentally got ordered. I went into Monsoon because they had a sale on and found a skirt which I had to have, of course full price. 2 jumpers, a pair of shoots (shoe boots) in faith and a new handbag because my other one drives me mad, can never find a thing in it... too many pockets.

Oh and I just went to tesco and bought some finest biscuits and have eaten half the packet:o

And I turned down a weekend of work because I've got a cold and couldn't be @rsed.

Bet you all feel better now :D

I thought I'd no sins for once but I have been too lazy/shattered to make packed lunches most of the week for DS so he's been having school dinners. Getting fed up of being skint and having to think about money.

    Hi all,

Ok, I havent been on nearly all week as its the end of the sales quarter in my job and ive been hectic. I have fallen into really bad habits this week and have ate a stupid amount of takeaways and drinks.

On Wednesday I wasted £7.00 on a Panani and Vanilla Latte from Starbucks (first time in months and it was great!). I shudder to think how much I have spent probally around £30 at least on nothing and to make matters worse I havent kept my spending diary up to date so cant really tell where its gone.

On a positive note I have hit my targets so should get a nice bonus in a week or so! ;)

  • Jacks post made me smile - reminds me of girlie nights gone by! (Maybe I was friend "N" once upon a time )

I have sinned in a small way.........did not look through my stationery box for a birthday card I bought today. I also have bought some ready made pasta salad for lunch today. :naughty:

I think I pigged out on crisps in the week as well - but I blame the hormones for that.
