That's why the banks have been pilloried for so-called "overcharging" for all sorts - or have you been away for the last 10 years? Must be extremely ignorant or naive then. I actually sell 0% finance but - surprise surprise - the banks make money from it. I won't bore you with the hows and whys since I'd have to start with the very basics with someone who actually think such things are "free". .0

Yep. The banlks are so generous they do it all for nothing. They don't even charge you for the costs of their branches, staff, head office, rent and rates and a million other things. I wonder how they stay in business. Don't tell them; they might realise that they are paying you.0

Compared to the mobile companies, banks are saints0 -

Of course you do. You obviously think the banks incur no costs and earn no money from you.0

I use several banks. From most - I make more money from them than they make from me.
Hint - just because banks make money from the average customer, doesn't mean they make money from every customer. If you don't understand how - try reading MSE. Outside of just the Mobiles forum. There's plenty there to get you started.0 -
MSE includes all sorts, including the completely naive - like you. Your understanding is very shallow and limited and obviously can't be improved. I have about 25 credit cards, five current accounts and numerous other savings accounts. I have also run my own business since 1982 and have several professional qualifications. I have trained an untold number of managers in finance and management but it is wasted on you.0

Let's have a look for evidence of your vast knowledge on MSE forums....err...hang on...can't find anything outside the mobile forum...why is that? Maybe you only like sharing your knowledge on mobiles but not on financial issues?
Anyway - I'm not continuing this pointless little argument, it's clogging up a useful thread. Feel free to keep replying "I know more than you but not telling you what", I'm sure someone will believe you if you say it enough times. Ta ta.0
