Afternoon all,
Meant to have lunch with DD4 and family but she couldnt make it, so we stayed at home, just as well as I had forgotten that DS2 was coming for lunch on his way to our local race festival, having fed him I then dropped him and two friends to the track, if he wants to have a drink he can, although since he started running he has almost stopped drinking, something I am pleased about as I think that young people today drink far too much.
Not too cold today, overcast but pleasant enough, there are clothes on the line, I must remember to take them in before dark.
Steak, mushrooms, mixed veg., mash for dinner, really nice, havent had mash for ages.
TA......thinking of you both
Dumpling......you are doing so well, those who pass unkind remarks on others are beneath your notice.........you can diet but their minds will always be ugly!
Csarina, I am glad that you are cutting back on your workload, your health is more important than doing everything yourself.
Elona.....will be thinking of you on Monday.
Positive vibes to all who need them, have a good weekend, stay safe and well

HI chums home at last and feeling completely clapped out It was a very long journey as the M1 had a problem and was closed for two junctions so we diverted via cambridge down the A14 so took hours to get round. But the washing machine is chugging away and I am going to put my feet up and do absolutely nothing tonight I have enough fodder to feed myself and lots of catch-up tv to fall asleep in front of
:)Car is all unpacked at least so its definitely a lazy evening for me
Take care all and dumpling ignore the ignorant they are not worth getting stressed over .
Cheers chums

Evening:)
Monnagran what a lovely post you made yesterday, so thoughtful and appreciated by all I'm sure. Thank you x
Dumpling you have so much on your plate and I admire your resolve. Do not let the nasty remarks of some non-people stop you from going out. I know how difficult it must be to ignore the spiteful comments but they really aren't worth a moment of your thoughts x
Elona take good care of yourself near to such a sad anniversary, just allow yourself to try and cope with it in whatever way is right for you x
Tru all the best to your dad and you of course x
TA hope the move went well x
Hope I haven't missed anyone/thing else significant and I hope you have all had a good day.
Just off to make myself a veggie chilli, I'm determined to start cooking again.
Take care all :A x'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought

ELONA you wonder what the point of having a survey done is for! My DD's house was bodged too and they hadn't been in long before things started to go wrong. I think the previous owner had a degree in bodging! No wonder they moved to Tasmania, as far away as they could get! Wallpaper plastered on over cracks was nothing compared to other bodges. The downstairs shower room floor collapsed under her (it had been propped up on bits of wood), the second floor stairs caved in at the halfway bend and water flooded through the walls from a hidden vent into the downstairs computer room! And I won't even mention the bodges in the "new" kitchen! This ended up having to be ripped out and replaced!
Have a nice evening folks. I have well and truly earned a couple of glasses of vino after my efforts at helping DS move into his new abode today and fitting a hair cut in half way through!. Everything stored here has gone so tomorrow I can do the postponed Friday clean round. xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Good evening everyone,
I hope you don't mind me jumping back in. I had stopped posting as I felt my days were a bit "groundhog" and I was posting the same things day in day out. However, although my health is unchanged I think I've got a bit of my life mojo back:)
Today I was up at silly o'clock with elderly pooch and after dealing with a floor puddle (him not me) for once I stayed up so was showered and had breakfast by 8 o'clock. Sorted out loads of admin stuff and paid a few bills am though did have to have a snooze pm after doing my physio and rehab exercises. Later I tidied my deck - I have a covered deck at my back door (sounds posher than it is - more "Hillbillies" than the "Waltons" lol ) in prep for getting pots and baskets of cherry toms out on it in a few weeks. Tonight I'll catch up with Masterchef and probably be fairly early to bed with a cuppa and my Kindle. I'm hoping if it stays dry to get a wee bit more done in the garden.
Hope everyone has a good evening x0 -

Hi everyone,
I haven't posted on this thread before but I have been reading along for a couple of years now, following the ups and downs of life for you all. I think this is a wonderfully supportive and friendly thread. There is such a nice mix of people living different types of life.
I hope that you don't mind another one joining in with you on a regular basis. My life is a bit on the quiet side at the moment so I hope that I don't start off by boring you all to death.
I'm going to have a quick look through the fridge in a minute and see what fruit/veg I need to get tomorrow and menu plan for the weekend and then see if I have got a full load for the washing machine, as the forecast is ok for here tomorrow so I should be able to get it dry if I just switch it on as soon as I get up.0 -
Wave hello to hollyharvey
Welcome to the thread. Just said bye to middle dd who popped round for a bite to eat and did a bit of papering on a feature wall for me. She is going away in a day or two and has not got much food in so sent her off with milk, eggs and a frozen home made meal .
Family are coming round on Sunday for lunch so planning a low calorie beef and veg pie with lots of veg and maybe new potatoes and might make fish pate with crudities for a starter.
I need to clean and tidy the downstairs and change a bed for dd and sil to stay over and do some shopping tomorrow so planning an early night.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"
