Can anyone tell me whether it's gonna hurt or not?

No Pain - no Gain, GP - I thought they 'bred 'em tough' where you come from. :rotfl:

I've done my tendons in as well!:j

In my case I was down at the gym. There is a leg press machine.

The machine goes up to 190Kg.
I had been slowly working up to 170Kg, which I could do.

I slapped another 10Kg on my next visit, so up to 180Kg... I was almost there I had almost "done" the machine :T

But the day after 180Kg I started limping. My knee hurt slightly. But I couldn't put any power down on it.
6 months later and it's still healing. It doesn't hurt though, but it takes ages to heal. I haven't been to the gym for yonks now

You're not a nurse are you? They *all* say that, and it always hurts like hell.

I never lie to my patients. If it's gonna hurt I tell em it'll hurt!
More often than not they are so shocked by my hands being like ice that they don't even notice the needle going in!:rotfl: (They always say that my injections hurt less than anyone elses too but that's down to technique!):A
I had a patient ask me once how I could stand to give so many injections as she hated them and I pointed out that it was fine when the needle wasn't going in me!

  • Injections aren't a problem - I give blood allthe time and when they ask if I want the little local anaesthetic first I always reply "Nah", in my best butch northen accent.

It's just the fact it's in a tendon. It sounds painful.

And all this rubbish about childbirth being hard. Pah. You get to sit on your backside for nine months, and then get six months off work. Bloody easy life I tell you.

Aah...injections and removals are two different things...

I've had zillions of blood tests - easy peasy. When they're shoving stuff in, it can be different.

Nurse talk: "You may feel a warming effect when the X Ray contrast solution is injected."

Patient talk: "Your arm will catch fire."
It's just the fact it's in a tendon. It sounds painful.

Well hopefully it won't come to that. The cortisone is more of a trouble than the needle.

    It's more complicated than that..

There's periods of lying on the back too...
