  • Morning all,

Leg's feeling a bit stronger this morning but (pardon the pun) I'll take baby steps.

Didn't do too much last night and decided to watch a movie which lasted longer than expected and finished at 11.30pm.

I think I'll go and buy my bedframe and matress at lunch as there is a sale on and I've seen one I like. Hard to get too excited about a bed frame though.

A chilled night tonight with my friend in front of the Xbox which I'm looking forward to.

Deleted_User - Sorry to hear you had a poor holiday and journey home too.
TA - Sending you and DH a big hug.
Lainey - Fantastic news on your nephew! Very jealous.

Speky the one bit of advice my late weegie Mum gave me that I have stuck to throughout my life was get a good comfortable bed and good shoes as if your not in one you're in the other. So choose carefully as a third of your life is usually spent in at least your bed :):):)

TA, try not to worry too much, try convincing yourself that it will be the treatable option, time enough to worry if you find it's not.

Lainey, well done to your nephew. One of my nephews was signed by Manchester United when he was 17 - he only played one first team game for them but had a wonderful few years with them.

I saw my aunt yesterday - she is one of those people who's attitude to life is so positive you can't help but be uplifted when you spend time with her. She's a typical, down-to-earth Lancastrian with a wicked sense of humour. In some ways I was closer to her than my mother when I was growing up.

I'm not sure what's on today's agenda, it might be quite a lazy day.

Thinking of you MR & Mrs TA try not to worry i know its hard though x
Jackie O sounds like you have had a great time
The sun is shining and the wind has died down so its reasonably pleasant here.
Washing will be done today and maybe a visit to the butchers I am not sure yet if i want to go out
Dinner tonight lamb chops and roasties with veg
Have a great day whatever you are up to
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Reasonable nights sleep, I slept on so OH brought my breakfast. Washer full of towels and it's raining, hey ho........laundry basket is also full to bursting, guess the dryer is going to get an outing. I also have the duvet cover to wash.

No plans for the day, will have to go shopping at some point over the next couple of days.

I found the missing chicken and leek pies in the freezer, so we tried them last night, they were from Lidl, very tasty and made us a quick supper.

There are going to be a few changes round here, an outing with a meal occasionally instead of the endless cooking which really gets to me at times I have been cooking meals for almost 60 years, I think I deserve an occasional break, even if it's only to Sainsbugs for fish and chips!!

Hugs to you Dumpling and plenty for Mr and Mrs TA. Thinking of you all.

Speky, best foot forward eh? (excuse the pun).

Our usual guest for Thursday night. Rubber beef it is then. I might have to have a nap sometime soon. Hubby kept me awake most of the night, he was asleep but very restless. I'm so tired.

    Onwards and forwards,

    Have a great day all.

I think that'll be a sensible course to take, you should start to rebel and take things easier, especially with your recent health scare. Would you consider a cleaner to do the heavier things, such as handling the laundry, ironing and deep-cleaning? My mum had one from when she had her first angioplasty at 66, and it gave her a new lease of life (I was the washer woman ;)), she also began to buy ready meals, and went out for regular lunches with her friends (a good lunch = snack for tea). By doing this she could manage in her own home & garden, without making too many compromises. She also had a gardener, but he'd been doing the garden since she had a back operation at 63 (my dad died when she was just 61 and she worked full time until she was 65).

TAM I am hoping for a good outcome for Mr TA. Dumpling thinking of you.

I have done a lot of work, more to complete though.
From my window, I can see a house that is being renovated and yesterday, scaffolding went up. Today, the roof has disappeared but so have the builders and it has started to rain. I thought they might have put some form of covering over it but not yet, quite glad to be indoors and dry.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
