Post Office Platinum Card

The Post Office Platinum card appear to offer no fees on overseas transactions and 28 months interest free on new purchases. It doesn't appear under those recommended on the MSE list, which I thought was strange. Anyone else seen or actually used this card for further advice?

No idea about the interest free period but
I have been using the PO CC for years for the no fees on FX transactions. and pay all my hotel bills and purchases when away, not sure what else you want to know

I also use the Halifax Clarity for cash withdrawals when abroad

Their customer service is notoriously bad, so in case of problems make sure you have backup to avoid having to waste your time and money on the phone to them, until you return.

We've had a post office mastercard for many years now, and use every time we are abroad. No fees at all, and a great rate, on the occasions we've called customer service they have been very helpful.

I was just looking into this card as we're about to buy some foreign currency, and one of the selling points of the card is "Buy travel money at the Post Office with your Credit Card as we won’t charge you a cash fee".

However what they don't advertise is they will charge 27.9% interest from the moment you pay for the travel money until the balance is cleared even if you are in a 0% period. Even if you pay the card off in full every month you will still be charged ~2-4% depending on when in your payment cycle you pick up the money.
