My partner has had a contract with T-mobile coming up to 18 months. If he wants to cancel the contract to go back to PAYG, should he wait until T-mobile has offered an upgrade phone, or do you have to cancel before or after the contract time has elapsed?? ie the contract ends in November, should he cancel after the date in November or give a months notice in advance of contract ending?
Never had a contract before always PAYG so are unsure what to do.
Thanks in advance

I was searching for current upgrades with t-mobile and found your thread, in answer to your question, find out the date on which your partner's contract runs out and call as near to that time as possible, as you want to go over to PAYG then you don't want to be paying line rental to t-mobile when the contracts finished, if you cancel or request your PAC (port authorisation code) before your contract has finished then t-mobile will charge you for the remaining days of your contract.
If you want to go over to another network then make sure you have a PAYG sim for that network when you call t-mobile for your PAC and then pass on that code to the new network straight away as it can take up to seven days for your number to port over.Nearly debt free

now on flext 35 18months (realistically had to)

k850i free
cost £20 per month - one month free internet too
pretty happy with that, as didnt have to try too hard in the end.0 -

Really interested in the offer you have received for the k850i. Did you negotiate the deal over the phone and then agree to pick it up from the shop? Also flext 35 is normally charged at £35. Did you have to haggle to get it for £20 a month?0

i wouldnt bother going with tmobile even if they was the last people on earth my dad has had his contract with them for 18 months we gave them a months notice that we was ending the contract and they didnt and wanted to charge us for the line rental for the month even though he hadn't used the phone!! eventually they let us off after a million phone calls to pakistan0

Watching this as my Flex 25 contract with T-Mobile is up this month. I am sick and tired of getting calls from different agencies claiming to want to save me money!
So far they have recommended 3 who I would not touch with a barge poll!My second favorite household chore is ironing. My first being, hitting my head on the top bunk bed until I faint.-Erma Bombeck-~ Member of the MSE Celebdaq Minileague ~0 -

T Mobile seems to have taken the K850i off their website, so do you have a contingiency plan if they no longer intend on stocking this handset?0
