Fact, logic or reason... I beg to diffe...
You were wrong about the outer sills... unless you are more knowledgeable than a Jaguar technician with 20 years experience.
Your were wrong about the 'road worthiness' unless you know more than a Road Traffic Team Sergeant.
And you were also wrong about the wording of my insurance policy.
There is a case to answer, and no I didn't break any rules or laws in selling the car. I have limited the amount of information I have provided on here because this matter will most likely end up in court. I appreciate the opinions that have been put forth on here, it always helpful to have a third party point out things you may have missed but to fair in terms of law it is an open and shut case, the only issue I need to consider is how much time and effort I invest pursuing it.
You do realise that being an advanced vehicle examiner isn't rank specific? Quite often it's the PC's that tell the Sergeant the vehicles unroadworthy as he may not be qualified.0 -
Not the most sensible idea. The buyer just has to raise a PayPal dispute stating nothing received, you can't provide proof of delivery, you lose, PayPal takes money from you and gives it back to buyer.
Sounds like you just got lucky last time.
Not quite, no protection for motor vehicles0 -
Outer sills not structural? 1 can only think of a couple of cars with non structural outer sills and its unlikely your car is one of them.
You have the buyers name. Wrong. You have the name the account is registered to. Same as a registered keeper of a vehicle. Just because they are the keeper does not make them the driver.
No laws for them to state who the bidder was either.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

The outer sills are NOT structural on this vehicle, that had been checked and confirmed, but again is completely off topic.
To open an ebay account, it has to be confirmed / linked to a paypal account. A paypal account has to be set up with a bank account. Basically this IS the chaps ebay account. If he is daft enough to let someone else use it that's his problem. Unless he can prove on the day that he has had no access to the account, no access to his email account, and no access to his paypal account (if this was used to make the purchase he has made since the vehicle sale) he can not say he didn't know about the purchase as there has been communication from both ebay and myself. No it doesn't I have an old eBay account which doesn't have my name on it and isn't linked to a PayPal account with the same name.0
