Parking Ticket not on display

Hi, I wonder if anyone could please advise me. I recently received a parking ticket in the car park outside the Hatfield Aldi's. Although a ticket was purchased it must have been blow on to the seat of my car as I slammed the car door closed and i didn't notice this at the time. On returning to the vehicle i noticed a parking fine on the windscreen and the ticket on my car seat. I immediately sent a copy of the ticket and an explanation to the company which was ignored. I am now involved in a back and forth dialogue involving my explanation and their threats of court action. They have now referred my case to a debt recovery agency who are now threatening court action. I wondered what you thought I ought to do regarding this matter as they don't seem to even have acknowledged my explanation.
Many thanks

    It is not a fine.

You do not have to pay anything.

Judges have thrown out court cases where a ticket has blown over telling the parking scammers it's their fault for not having non-sticky tickets that are not fit for purpose.

What is the name of the parking company please? Did you give away the driver's identity when you made the initial appeal? (I hope not.)

Have you read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES that tells you how to appeal an unfair ticket from the unregulated parking scammers that have been known to lie in court, breach the EA 2010, breach the POFA 2012, breach the ADR 2015, breached their agreement with the DVLA, breached their own trade association rules, and generally act in a most despicable way?

Debt collectors have absolutely no powers and can do nothing except send poor quality bog paper, so can safely be ignored.

Have you complained to the store manager? Alternatively, complain to the Aldi CEO and tell them you will become an ex customer if this disgraceful treatment of genuine customers is not immediately rectified.
It is thought that Aldi has a clause in their contract with the parking scammers (is it Parking Lie?) that prohibits them from taking customers to court.

Please ignore people who do not know what they are talking about.

Hi - I replied to this and apparently the post was offensive and so the mods have removed it. I won't repeat it for obvious reasons.

I'm not aware in what way it was offensive or why it was removed, but just wanted to apologise for the offense caused.

I take it that you mean the post were you advised to pay.
you have much to learn about the private parking world, stick around, you might learn something and at the sane time save some money for your friends, colleagues, family and yourself.

The very idea of paying a typical PPC is considered highly offensive in here..! :D

As are the occasional outpourings of idiots/trolls/stooges/generally uninformed people who regard private parking tickets as some kind of genuine fine or indicator of wrongdoing - so yes, they tend to get pruned mercilessly. Don't worry! :D

The post wasn't overly offensive, but it went against the concept of a money saving website, and gave incorrect and untrue information.

  • Thanks for your responses. It's a UKPC car park and they have passed the fine on to Debt Recovery Plus Ltd now. We had been in to Aldi's and then went in to a restaurant. I spoke to POPLA today, but I am too late to use them as they have a 28 day rule and I left it too late. My fault as I didn't read their letter properly at the time and so only wrote back to UKPC.
  • I forgot to say that the fine has gone up now to £150!!!!!!!!

doesnt matter if the DCA says its £150 or £1500, (its just figures one paper) just ignore them

come back if you get an official LBC or an MCOL in the post from Northampton bulk centre, within 6 years

in the meantime , ignore the DCA people

you only have to pay a sum if a judge says so, and the judge decides on the sum (if you lose in court) - typically around £175 , but could be less

No it hasn't, this is not a fine and it could say any amount - £1500 or £1.50 - it's all rubbish. Did you read this when you did a forum search for 'UKPC' before posting a thread?

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/72431742#Comment_72431742

But are you saying they ignored your appeal, didn't reply and didn't give you a POPLA code in the rejection letter? Or did you ignore that chance to quash it at POPLA? If they never responded to an appeal you can prove was submitted, report them to the BPA and add a barbed comment asking what's happening with the winding up Order.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
