...What I am saying is that people are possibly going to sites just for a few pennies for that sake not because they need to.

If people go there simply to make a few pence, then there's still no problem for the rest of us, surely?

Personally, I go there when I need to buy something and then check if there is a cash back associated with that purchase. The more people use it, the more likely it will continue, since the end suppliers need to know that they are generating new sales/interest. It won't harm Quidco as an organisation if people use it many times - they are not the ones paying out, they are just acting as a middle-man.

Also, I have not experienced any problems other than the odd delay in tracking, but this has always been rectified quite quickly once I have submitted a ticket (Paddy Power being the most recent, but the query was resolved in less than a week).

£264 paid since joining (including Insurance and betting) for me...
    £205 for my better half

For me, they are head and shoulders above the other cash back sites.
  • Kimmywal, was your home insurance with More Th>n? I'm having the exact same problem myself just now!

I used More Than for car insurance and it is only validating £40 not £75 at the moment (payment not due till November). I am therefore also £35 short!Quidco have stated that

"We've looked into this and this amount should be updated to the correct amount before it is paid. So we will put this enquiry on hold until this comes in properly."

I have created a ticket to request that they dont leave it on "hold" as I envisage only £40 coming in and me having to chase the remainder.

I have had to put in two other enquiries since using it last year, only TalkTalk paid half the missing £10, otherwise I have saved £100 last year and £175 (for car and house insurance) this year so far - so good times!

I think the OP is probably referring to those on here who use quidco to get a few pennies a time to click websites. i can see how that would be taking advantage of the site, but greed gets to everyone :j
thank you!that is exactly what I mean!
But there again if companies are willing to pay us to go there then why not,all I think is that it seems a lot of hasstle. But if your willing to put the time in the benefits seem to be good I suppose!

I agree with skint spice if they didn't want people to do it the clicks wouldn't be on there.

If you don't want to do it fair enough but i don't think its fair to use words greedy and have a moan at people for doing it, i make about £6 a month from the clicks on Quidco and am not ashamed to say so. I don't think that makes me greedy.
Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month

  • I have only just joined Quidco. I made my first purchase with Apple computers and it has been validated. £67.50! So larger purchases do get tracked?

steven 504...I think you may need to check how you do things, check your cookie settings etc...follow instructions etc...

In the past few months I've had 2 lots of £55 from Three and £100 from Direct Line (when it was still available) and at the moment I've got £50 from Morethan validated...just waiting for payment now.

I have to say this as I've been thinking about it all weekend!! If the person who started this thread (or indeed anyone ese who agree's with them) If you people use pigsback or other sites of the similar kind, then you would be classed as doing the same thing.

    My examples are as follows::

Pigsback members, do clicks, 6 a week, 5p each, total a week of 30p for doing something that is just to get money, no other reason.

Quidco Members - Kelkoo, shopping.com, high street web, car source, now you looking at 50p a day, for doing something that you would not usuallly do, total in a week is in ecess of £2.50.

Now, my point being, that if you are using any site like this, incluse ipoints, mutualpoints and others in here as well, as they all work in the same way, they are getting you to do something, to get their ratings up, thats all.

So overall my opinion is, No, I don't think quidco are being taken advantage of, and if you believe that it is, and are a member of any of the other sites, doing to things I stted above, then you are contradicting yourselves!!!

Ok, I think thats all, I may have t post something again later.

    Take Care
Saving for a lovely summer holiday. Will it be Evesham or Egypt???
