Harveys Furniture Quick Question

Hi,
I went to Harvey's store last Saturday afternoon and bought two sofa beds. The very nice but pushy salesman made the whole transaction ultra quick - signature here and there, few papers for me, £120.00 deposit paid and delivery date scheduled for June.
The very next day I decided to cancel my order but very stupidly did not check the cancellation policy and by the time I rang them at 9am on Monday morning I was out of the 24 hour cooling period.
I spoke to the manager and asked if he would kindly refund my deposit back but he refused.
Order now cancelled and I am short of £120.00.
I understand it should have read the policy, especially that the salesman did not mention any of it to me. Is there anything I can do to get my money back?
I still have to buy two sofa beds so could do with extra cash....

No, you are not entitled to your money back as it was an in store purchase so their T&C's are what you have to go on.
It's not the salesman's job to tell you anything, always read what you are signing.0 -
There is no statutory right even to 24 hours cooling off-that is simply what the company chooses to offer. No free lunch, and no free laptop
