Everything Parking LTD

Hi. I've been dealing with Everything Parking LTD and then TNC Parking Services (who seem to be connected - can anyone confirm?)
Back in April 2016 I was working at the Brockwell Cafe, which is attached to the Brockwell Lido. I was given two parking tickets (sent to my partner who the car is registered to) issued by Everything Parking for alleged contraventions on 28 and 29 April 2016, in letters dated 12 May 2016.
I went to the Brockwell Lido with the head chef of the Lido Cafe and the tickets were cancelled by the duty manager. We heard nothing from them and assumed the case was closed.
However nearly 12 months later, on April 12 2017, we received two letters from TNC Parking Service entitled 'Outstanding Parking Charge Notice'. I was shocked - on top of the two £100 fines there was a £79 administration charge attached to each.
I called the following day and spoke to someone who said they would put the account on hold subject to them investigating. I was assured they would call me to explain what was happening - I particularly found it odd I'd heard nothing from them in nearly 12 months.
Yet this Satutrday, April 22, we received another two letters, 'Notice of Intention to Advise Client to Issue Summons'. I called them and was hung up on twice by the manager.
I've since spoken to the Brockwell Lido and was told by a manager that there has been a spate of these letters sent incorrectly to the lido's users. Some have been sent the threatening letters without ever receiving a fine in the first place.
So I called Everything Parking today again - hoping that by going to the source I can get this sorted. Instead I've been spoken to so rudely - they seem to engage in bullying, accusatory tactics on the phone, wait for you get riled and then accuse you of speaking angrily to them.
Worse - because my partner had called them to give me authorisation to deal with this on the phone, the manager rescinded my authority so they "will only deal with your partner". This seems like an attempt to bully me into paying but worse, shutting down conversation so I have no recourse to complain - my partner does not know this as well as me, and they know that.
They refused to confirm other people have made complaints about letters to do with this saying it's none of my business, which I think it is.
I've complained to the BPA but as they are not a regulatory body, their powers will probably be limited.
What should I do?
Thanks in advance.

The lesson for others in this is that when the retailer agrees to cancel the ticket, then don't assume that is the end of the matter.
It's only over when you get written confirmation from the creditor that they have cancelled the charge.
Go back to the Lido and get them to repeat their effort and get your tickets cancelled properly this time0 -
A salutary tale and the reason we advise never to phone a debt collector or parking company. All they want is your money, not your story, because your story gets in the way of them getting your money!
Follow Quentin's advice to go back to the retailer and get them involved again. If that doesn't work then follow the standard advice (as per the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #4) for debt collectors - ignore anything they send you.'Notice of Intention to Advise Client to Issue Summons'
Even if they advised Everything Parking that, do you really think you'd be their very first court case?

In the very unlikely event of a Letter Before Claim, or real court papers arriving, come back for help. They have 6 years (from the parking event date) to pursue through the small claims court. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

And don't phone the PPC again. They will bully and intimidate, because they just want your money and dont care how they get it.0

Thanks all. I've since gone back to the Brockwell Lido, they're contacting them again. I've since got a signed witness statement from the person who accompanied me to get the fines cancelled, to say he witnessed it happen.
I've since learnt another person sent an erroneous letter spoke to someone from TNC who claimed to be a bailiff - yet she looked up his name and he wasn't. It was a lie. It's disgusting organisations can lie like this.0 -
It is all par for the course, never telephone. Start a paper trail, judges love a paper trail. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

I have had a similar experience in the last week. TNC/Everything Parking have contacted me about an 'alleged' contravention at Brockwell Lido. My case dates back to 2014 (yes, that is not a typo...three years ago!!). I never received a ticket at the time or any form of communication until I got a phone call from an aggressive guy from TNC saying I owed them money last week. At first they refused to tell me where the 'overstay' happened. In the end I extracted the fact that it was at the Lido. So far I have received no evidence that it happened; just two emails harassing me for payment. I stupidly gave them my email.
I have written to Brockwell Lido who I understand from the person I spoke to there have received a number of other complaints detailing similar harassment.0 -
hi there
I am very interested in talking as I feel this is very important
!
When brockwell lido car park was taken over by private parking company Everything parking – the signs were extremely small and I didn’t realise the rules had changed – so I received a ticket and I did contest it as I felt it was unfair – however that was in 2014 and I didn’t receive any reminder from then until last week – I decided I would pay the fine as I didn’t want it to go to bailiffs.
!
The next day I received three more tickets – which I know I have never received notification before about as I would have written – it seems extremely odd that I got these new tickets the day after I paid the fine.
!
I rang the company TNC and I was extremely angry but they didn’t do anything to help me get less angry so they did not want to speak to me…..I have also written to the TNC company to tell them these tickets are on hold – I have written to Everything parking and they sent me a letter saying it was out of their hands.
!
I am concerned that the tickets all have a weird time on them – 10801 – which seems a bit weird that it’s the same on all of them.
!
Please please can we discuss this - my email is emjf@hotmail.co.uk

Please start your own thread for discussing as it will get lost in someone else's. The experts on here won't discuss more than one problem per thread for this reason.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
