Tuning the K24A3 block?

370z has an annual road tax >£500. M3 is unreliable and expensive to fix when it goes wrong, which it will. 206cc is a decent car but being French it will have electrical issues. Accord is best of both worlds compared to 370z and M3. It has decent power, reliable Japanese engineering and has excellent tuning potential, the K24A3 block.
My M3 cost no more than any of my other BMWs to run, aside from being slightly thirstier. It certainly wasn't unreliable.
By contrast, my current Accord Tourer will need £500 spending on a timing chain and exhaust manifold fairly soon, in spite of a full Honda MDSH. I don't remember any of my BMWs handing me a £500 bill.0 -

I agree, pound for pound my 911 was cheaper in ownership costs than any of my hondas.0 -

What is MDSH? How does your Accord compare to the M3 in terms of power and handling and overall comfort?0 -
MDSH - Main Dealer Service History0

Which accord do you have? Educated guess, tells me it is the 2.2 litre cdti which is known for failed timing chains. This engine needs 0w20 oil and if not, will stress the timing chain.

Wrong again. The 2.2i CTDi is known for stretching timing chains, failures are very rare indeed. And yes, it is the 2.2i CTDi, but you could have learned that by reading other posts where I've referred to it.
It also doesn't need 0W20, the correct specification is 0W30. My car has a full Honda history, and has had the correct oil throughout its life if you believe those invoices. The chain has become noisy with 130K on it.
As you also well know, I will not engage with your silly game of comparisons. A diesel estate car and a petrol sports coupe are two very different things with different purposes.0 -

Hi, recently got the valve clearance done on my '05 Accord 2.4 litre and looking for ways to increase power? Did a bit of a search and the best advice is to get a K20A2 block head swap, Honda RRC intake manifold, and a Acura TSX ECU flash. This should give around 260hp plus at the wheels. I can get this all for relatively cheap as they'll be refurbished but more concerned about the actual labour cost? Swapping over heads and fitting a new intake manifold a big job?
You're struggling to get it driving in straight line and now you want to achieve a hypothetical 260 bhp? Good luck.:TI don't like morning people. Or mornings. Or people.0 -
IMO if your not interested enough to do the work yourself, then you shouldn't do it.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Are you planning on telling your insurer about this mod? It's crazy to try and do this if you're trying desperately to save money on insurance. It's not exactly sluggish as it is, so you may as well just leave it alone.0
