Tuning the K24A3 block?

Hi, recently got the valve clearance done on my '05 Accord 2.4 litre and looking for ways to increase power? Did a bit of a search and the best advice is to get a K20A2 block head swap, Honda RRC intake manifold, and a Acura TSX ECU flash. This should give around 260hp plus at the wheels. I can get this all for relatively cheap as they'll be refurbished but more concerned about the actual labour cost? Swapping over heads and fitting a new intake manifold a big job?

That happens a lot on here. Especially when MSE Towers gets fed up.

Just get the parts and leave them beside the car - the elves do them for free when they've finished making shoes each night.

With all the money you saved from your "free insurance" adventure you must have enough readies to not worry about labour costs.

This vehicle is naturally aspirated, right? 190bhp at the flywheel as standard? If so, your expectations of power improvement seem rather optimistic.

One might almost conclude they are a fantasy.

Cheapest way is to buy a better/ more appropriate car for your needs to start with. Accord's are great, but generally when left factory standard.

Don't worry about the labour charges, your recent ridiculous and fictional insurance ploy will fund that for you.

Waste of money until you can get the car roadworthy enough to pass one of the MOTs you have been for this month.

    I'd trade it in for a 370z or a 206cc.

Personally I'd go for an M3.

370z has an annual road tax >£500. M3 is unreliable and expensive to fix when it goes wrong, which it will. 206cc is a decent car but being French it will have electrical issues. Accord is best of both worlds compared to 370z and M3. It has decent power, reliable Japanese engineering and has excellent tuning potential, the K24A3 block.
