MiniGPS for Symbian S60 3rd Edition Free?
Hello, I was wondering if anyone could advise on this.
I remember when I bought my Nokia N70 last year (unlocked) it came with a lot of applications, one of which was the MiniGPS. Incidentally it also came with a mini office suite, PDF reader, etc.
Now I also bought an N91 and it doesn't have any of the applications. I've updated it to the latest firmware, but still have no applications. I bought the phones from separate independent shops, both unlocked. I'm a bit un-nerved as with the N91 I would have thought it would come loaded with apps to get the most out of it.
Anyway, I can't remember if it was free or not, but anyone know if MiniGPS can be gotten for free or is it payware only? And how does mobile phone software work with moving to a new phone (if and when I upgrade) and the licenses? Do you have to buy new licenses?
Thanks.

I don't know MiniGPS, but was reading earlier about Smart2go
It's a Nokia application for which you can download maps, and integrate with a GPS to show your position on them.
That much is free so far, and you can optionally subscribe for from a week to 3 years (free trial 3 days) to have navigation added, with calculated routes, announced directions and so on.
You need to pay attention to their comments about data use; it will be cheaper to download maps to your PC and install to the phone, rather than to use phone data0 -
Thanks. What I actually wanted the minigps for was it's cell referencing function, and I heard you can also use it to activate profiles in certain locations based on cell reference, etc.
Anyone know about my other point re: the 'missing' applications on the N91?
