A large cup of hot coffee and a crafty project of some sort, cross-stitch or crochet for preference. I generally carry round a small cross-stitch kit in my handbag so I can while away appointment waiting, or bus travel (when I'm not enjoying the scenery)

I'm not complaining, I'm supporting the process of continuous improvement. :p

Stepping off the property ladder for now, may climb back on later.

I've always assumed that the power is so low that there was more risk to the kindle than to me.

Going for a walk along the lanes and footpaths or beside the river, with or without a canine companion and being in the garden sitting on the home made bench (leftover railway sleepers from building a pond years ago) leaning against a warm brick wall with a cup of coffee either is heaven!
I agree with sat in the garden on a sunny day with the sunshine on my back with a mug of tea, even better when it is with the Sunday newspapers to browse through.
  • Can't beat a good book or a box set

I also like a bike ride around the lanes with a bag of ys carrots in my pockets to feed the horses and ponies and donkeys, esp in the long evenings after tea

On the rare days we have warm sunny weather and it's not blowing a gale, just sitting watching the fish and the chickens

On days I can't settle and it's just too horrible to be out, I cook. Today I made a batch of pies using the tiny bit of left over chicken from Sunday , some leeks well past their best and some steak casserole left over from last week. Got 6 pies and a tray of jam tarts for pennies :)

without a shadow of doubt being at my allotment! It costs me £12 a year and for most other things I get free or as low cost as possible. I have a budget of £100 this year, I've spent £65 but invested in a collection of raspberry canes and loads of bulbs (almost 50% of what I have spent) & they will keep going for years to come :) We will reap much more than £100 back in produce. Last year was my first year I spent £180 as didn't have tools and other bits and produced £380 worth of produce despite only managing to cultivate a small area. This year I have dug over the whole site :) Gosh I can be there for hours and despite feeling physically tired I feel so invigorated!

other than that I'm trying to get back into reading - the internet kills attention span! Going for a lovely woodland walk, laying on the beach in the summer, playing with my little girl, watching a good film or box set. time spent with friends and family
That's amazing! I always wanted an allotment, but am not fit enough now :(
