I just want enough to clear the balance on my other card off. The interest rate's a lot higher than this so even 34.9% (if I can't clear it in 6 months) will be a saving. I owe 1.5k (limit is 2.5k, I've never used it all), I'm paying £160 a month (the min is £90) and I'm still not making much of a dent. I earn 1.8k a month, but I'll end up using it every month to live off/pay the rent and bills if I clear it all.

Yeah sounds like what im doing right now.

Odd but seems all of a sudden ive been accepted for Tesco balance card (Considering id class my credit history as poor still) and Then Barclay card Transfer card with in a week of Tesco Accepting me and they gave a £3500 limit.

Still find it hard to believe until cards arrive and activate and when they are all debt will be with 0 % Transfer cards.

Hope you get a decent limit and get it all sorted.;)

I have 2 CCJ's (thanks to my ex and the water company who are a bit too fast at issuing these), which fall off next year and the year after and they were paid off years ago. I have no defaults besides these, never been over my CC limit, no late payments, no missed payments, always paid above the minimum. I was sent a Tesco spend card last week but the limit isn't high enough to transfer all of the balance over from Vanquis.

    Thank you :)

Assuming it's a 0% BT card. BT as much as you can and then look at your options for the rest of your Vanquis debt.

Are you saying you have a credit card balance that you are paying over 40% APR on? If so, WHY? Can you not clear the balance?
Your point is vaild though I've had 1 or 2 unexpected purchaes past 18 months appprox.

I tend to reduce balances rather than pay in full each month.
Think current Aqua balance is £4.89 or something interest -no complaints when I didn't have enough from monthly budget to use debit card at that time.
In addddition I'll continue to use a card if required not shopping /
    fuel etc-thats 99.9% debit card.
I did up until use debit only until lat 2014 I think and eventualy found it difficult to avoid having accesss to acredit card in emergancys.

Since reading this thread I've for 1st itime in approx 5-6 years been accepeted for Aqua balance transfer card-as the mse poster -not sure of credit limit yet though my recent aqua what was 0% 6mths@44 apr was initial 300 limit.-149 balance

One of my cp1 cards I think is in the 35% range that took a big unexcpected spend and went upto nearly 600 used -might go for a transfer from that to new Aqua@0% 6 mths-depending on Aqua initial limit.

My near term financial future is reduce spending as i'm going on reduced hours at work soon-health reasons.

Quite a challenging time approaching, need to behave my spending.
I recently got a Chrome card-no offer@27 or 29%apr-1k limit -yet I dont have any serious purchase to make that stays 0 balance.

Interesting that from another mse thread a few mnths ago, another mser commented that it is possible to apply and be accepted for anther aqua card-timed a few months apart.

Of all the cards I have since 2014 -tihis evening is the 1st balance transfer card ive been accepted-thought i was looking as late as 2019 for transfers.

I think i'll cancel my 1st aqua card when the 169 is cleared as I have existing cards I can use for emergancy purchases -a bit less than 44%.

At least I have no intetion of trying to spend anywhere near card limiits-I keepin mind my monthly earnings an total card balances so I know I wont return to difficultys of the past.
