I found out a while ago that the builder is required to fit house numbers to all new builds and ideally all documentation should use the house number which is assigned early in the planning/building process. It is for the Royal Mail to update the address from plot to number and this will then go out in the PAF update to the DNO who will update MPAS which feeds through into ECOES.discoverhowcouk wrote: »Hi Spiro,
if this is for a new build will they just be providing the plot number? If so who is obliged to provide the correct address after it has been assigned?IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

8 months is far too long, but you can check Data Bases for yourself
For Gas phone 0870 608 1524 Be aware this is a premium rate number
The Elec Data Bases are regional, Google " Who supplies my Elec" for the phone number of yours - Be aware of premium rate linesIt's not really is it?
It's a non-geographic, business rate number
https://www.gov.uk/call-charges
It costs 12p per min + access charge from a BT landline
It is even included as a free call within a BT calling plan :money:

By contrast, a premium rate number, which is identified as starting with a '09' can cost up to £3.60 per minute (plus access charge) or £6.00 per call
Yes. It is a premium rate number. All 084, 087, 09 and 118 numbers are premium rate. All of those numbers now have the sane Access Charge plus Service Charge charging structure. The premium is the additional Service Charge, which since 1 July 2015 must be declared.
Various definitions changed on that date, and the terms 'business rate number', 'special services number', etc, are no longer in use. The gov.uk page is out of date, has outdated terminology and incorrect figures.
