Visited by "MoneyExpert Ltd" Door to Door regarding energy

I've just been door-stopped by 'Craig' who was from 'MoneyExpert Ltd' and was claiming that all the North West Energy Suppliers are overcharging. The number for verification on the back of the badge resolved to one for credico.uk.com but was listed on the badge as for moneyexpert.com
He claimed they represented all 47 energy companies and that they'd get paid irrespective of which was the cheapest to promote the cheapest, which he claimed for this area would be Greenstar and then based on rough details still claimed was Greenstar. He also claimed that the advertised figure (and the figure on statements pKWH) was only for the first 50 units and that after that they could charge their standard rate and hence that other comparison sites did not take this into account.
I'm currently with Affect Energy (from Feb), having previously moved from First Utility (the supplier when we moved in) to Extra Energy to British Gas mostly with switches through MSE. The usage for this house seems possibly higher than it should be (3/4 bed mid terraced old house, ~19,350KwH Gas and ~7,232KwH Electricity based on 3 year average).
Anybody else encountered this or believe we are specifically being overcharged in the North West?

I think the only person who has anything to gain here is "Craig" and that he is talking rubbish.0

There are regional price differences for each supplier depending on your postcode. Ignore all these doorstep claims and carry out a full market price comparison - based on your annual consumption* in kWhs not £s - to check the deal that you are on.
PS: Do not use averages as houses vary in build, insulation and use. You can determine your annual usage by looking at the meter readings on two bills about a year apart. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Cheap Energy club is one of those price comparison which is much better than a guy knocking on your door. Guess who gets commission and ultimately pays for it?"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

You misunderstand: the averages are /my/ averages over the last 3 years worth of usage across three different energy suppliers.0 -

This is where a front door camera would be good for evidence purposes. A good five minute slot on Martin's show, and maybe thirty seconds for you.0

What are you suggesting? Money Expert Ltd is a registered company which is authorised by the FCA. That said, if it's last posted accounts are anything to go by, it is finding it hard going in a competitive market. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. then why consider Some Johnny off the street trying to scam you?"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Agent 00SLIME, licensed to scam?
Admittedly, there are so many scams around, the competition must be fierce.
I find it quite hard to choose which scam to fall for.0 -

Put your figures into their comparison site and see for yourself
https://www.simplyswitch.com/
Still not convinced?
Put the figures in any other Ofgem accredited comparison site and see if you get the same results0
