    friend has just reminded me that I'd promised to make a Christmas cake for her and her mum :eek:

    I've never made one before and promised her when we were a wee bit... erm... tiddly on some brew :o

    OK... deep breath... it shall be done...

    It is basically a rich fruit cake right? With the mixed fruit soaked in... erm... brandy?
    OK, I can do this... I will do this and I will make one for myself too :D
    Not right now though, cos I'm going to bed...

    Tomorrow nights' project...
    Note to self, beware of promises made to friends when inebriated as they shall remember and cash them in...

    All meals are prepped for today so should be another NSD

    Evening folks :D

    Been a busy wee day today at work and I am now relaxing with a couple of brews, some cheese on toast and catching up with friends on here ;)

    Have cashed out my OO survey points after hearing about Sashybo's issues with them... not going to let em build up anymore, soon as I can cash out, I will...

    Will be starting the Christmas cake(s) project at the weekend...

    The IPA is bubbling away happily in the fermenter...:beer:

    US maybe look for a dundee cake recipe? Making a pretty pattern with almonds on the top is a lot easier than trying to do icing.
