Disciplinary for conduct outside of work???

Did you complete an Incident report at work ? , used to be known as form 715, I'd suggest a quiet word with a fed rep / line Manager or Sgt.
Good luck
No, my next shift at work I mentioned the incident to my supervisor and she already knew of it as she was in the control room at the time, she asked how it ended up and we moved on.
She didn't mention any forms etc, although shes not my direct line supervisor. But I only see him half the time due to shifts0 -
I'm at a loss to see what good dialling 999 did? What did the police actually do?0

It might be that he rang up and was essentially told that it wasn't a matter for your workplace to deal with. If that is the case, you'll probably never be told. One of my old managers said they received complaints about out of work conduct which were clearly rooted in malice from members of the public so regularly that not only did he not take action, he also didn't see the need to inform the staff member concerned due to the unnecessary worry it might cause them. Bosses aren't stupid at all times - yes, your conduct was a little bit silly but also fairly understandable in the circumstances and getting a bit stroppy (while unprofessional) doesn't actually affect your ability to do your job or the clearances you need in order to do it.
Two weeks is a long time to be worrying about this sort of thing. It's unlikely that he's made a complaint and if he makes one now, it will look like it's being done with malicious intent. What other purpose would it serve so long after the incident? The fact Dad wasn't actually present will also make it fairly unlikely that he could get very far with a complaint about your behaviour - is the young lad about to put in a complaint after he's hit your car? Probably not.
In the unlikely event that one of them has made a complaint, your managers clearly do not consider it serious or they would have spoken to you by now. Let it go and focus on getting the car sorted and moving on from the incident.
Thankyou. Think iv over worried this last few days as all contact about the car has stopped.
Iv not seen my line manager since it happened as we work shifts, but iv been in work several times and nothing has been mentioned from more senior managers.
So hopefully it's done with, thanks again0 -

I called as I thought the main guy who worked with the male thst crashed into me was going to hit me, I know it sounds dramatic but in that moment I was genuinly thinking that.
I thought it was dealt with till these men appeared0 -
Hit you? Did he say he was or was he running at you with fists raised, well like you said, sounds dramatic and naturally your version of events will portray you as the scared victim AND the other person will portray him, self as the victim, like i said, i think you both gave as good as you got.
CCTV usually sorts these issues out but as you said, there isnt any. Usually people record confrontations nowadays.
Enjoy your weekend, no point worrying about this.0 -

Thanks for your input. I wouldn't have called for help if I hadn't been in a position where I felt I needed too. Cctv would have been great as it would have stopped whole thing being an issue as the initial incident would have been captured0 -

You aren't going to like this, but nevertheless - I don't believe you. And if this goes to investigation then there is a very good chance that others won't either. So you had better improve on your answers.
I don't believe it either...
But I'm more concerned about how OP painted themselves as pretty much an angel who wanted a nice rational chat, but whom initially got out of the vehicle to photograph the reg plate and then went into the shop on the bounce (and hung round for 20 mins when insurance info was obtained)! I mean, you could forgive OP for being *a bit* angry and you can certainly show that in an appropriate way, but it just seems a bit incongruent...
Also about the ID and how that was presented to the young lad. I wonder if there was any possibility that OP mis-represented themselves as a police officer (or abused their power)? Would certainly explain why the dad came out on the bounce AND went to file a complaint AND why OP's bum is twitching quite a bit
I personally think OP did/said something wrong in the exchange (possibly even breaking the law) but, without evidence, nothing will happen (and it will simply remain an opinion of mine).0 -
It is unusual for the police to attend an accident where there are no injuries involved unless they think there is likely to be a breach of the peace0
