Urgent help needed regarding a holiday booking made last night

  • To take insurance out now, and then try to claim would be fraudulent.

She's an adult and is too scared to go away with other than her mum and dad? Sorry, but she needs to get to the root of that problem before it starts to spoil her life, and the possibility of any future long term relationship between her and her boyfriend.

A name change is the best she can hope for, but personally if it was my child I would encourage her strongly to seek some help. I probably wouldn't be quite that subtle with my child though ;) CBT would make a difference.

I can only echo the above advice, please don't even contemplate committing insurance fraud . Fraud would be a huge problem if or when it was discovered, and could cause serious issues for her future career , so forget any idea of taking out insurance and trying to get away with this.

Get help for her, I'm assuming if she has a long term boyfriend then she is an adult, and as she's travelled before the anxiety can't be so bad that she can't be helped. Ultimately allow her to be an adult .

Sell the tickets on eBay with the cost of a name change factored in. When sold, change the name as required by the buyer and despatch the tickets. That way, at least you get something back.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Private individuals can't sell airline tickets or holiday packages that involve airline flights on ebay.

OP, have you contacted Teletext as they suggested in post 14? It sounded as if they may help if you do and it would be interesting to know the outcome.
