What have you specified for the waste and cover plate?
Have you decided on the shower yet as your waste needs to match the shower flows.

really depends on how confident you are they can create the required fall profile into the finished floor before tanking.

a tray embedded may give a neater finish and have the waste integrated.

having a screen how has that been specified and how will it be supported
main issue is will it touch the floor and how that will be sealed.

My wetroom is now built and fittings will be installed soon.

Sounds like you just have a shell, if the floor is not finished it is not a wet room yet.

Yes, it is a shell at present.

Haha! Reporting posts now when they don't say what you want to hear?! Jeezo sorry petal, you really should have read the post and gone away to understand what it means...
If you have a shell why have you got tanking in place?! That should be under the floor finish not under the screed/insulation.
This is part of the problem, you're not able to communicate what the situation is in your op then take the huff when people point out the flaws, then later in the thread it slowly changes to what the actual situation is.
There was nothing in my post meriting being reported. Read up on it

were are the toilet and sink wastes getting out of the room?

If they are into the floor as well then that's 3 risk areas that need sealing penetrating your chosen floor covering/tanking.

Have you decided your heating yet?

So will this gully be removable if I don't have a shower tray and just have vinyl?

No, it will have (should have) a top grill cover that is removable for internal cleaning purposes, you do not (cannot) remove something that is buried in a solid floor and sealed with tiles/vinyl. If you want a wet room I don't understand why you are even considering installing a shower tray, the whole point of a wet room is to allow level access with plenty of room for people who would normally struggle to cope with a raised shower tray.

    Issue resolved.

The architect is now back, and he was able to explain the details to me in a way the builder and plumber were not able to explain.

Now I just need to concentrate on choosing tiles.

Toilet and handbasin are right next to the relevant drains, so less of a risk. Tanking for floor will be done by company fitting the vinyl.

Thanks, I need 2000 btus, and am considering this following forum advice on another thread:

Thanks. I now understand I need a McAlpine top-entry trap.

There are some shower trays specifically designed to go under the vinyl, and I didn't know if I needed one of these, eg Impey wet room tray (to go under the vinyl). I've probably just been visiting too many show rooms to look at what's available, and got side-tracked by sales reps.

However, my floor will be finished off with the appropriate shape, then tanked, then fitted with vinyl, so I don't need one of these trays.
