• Morning, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Just the last minutes bits to do, the sheets from the bed are in the washer, will leave them on the airer. I have decided to take our duvet with us, the forecast is for it to be cold next week, typical, I cannot bear to be cold, so the duvet goes.

OH woke me coughing at 5am this morning, I did manage to get back to sleep, then did not hear the alarm, OH had to wake me.

Right, off to get on, we plan to have lunch before we go, so need to get the car packed ready to go straight afterwards. Depending on the traffic it should take us about 3 - 3 1/2 hours, so arrival just in time for tea!!

Jackie, we will wave to you as you go past us here......

Quite pleased with myself, I managed to get down on the floor and make a start on cleaning the kitchen cupboard doors. Only two, my shoulder started to hurt so I stopped. I'll do the rest in twos, they should all be done by tomorrow teatime, lol.

I want to sort through my clothes today, most of what's in my wardrobe is jumpers and thick cardigans. A few months ago, I put summery things in the drawer under the bed and I can't actually remember what's in there. It'll be like going shopping but much better because I don't have to leave the house, it's free and there will be no other people around :D

Morning everyone,

Back now after our short break in York, had a lovely time re-discovering the city and walking our legs off. It's a beautiful place for sure but we were quite shocked at how many poor souls seem to be sleeping rough there :(
The girls were of course fine in the kennels so we are looking to go away again in May, possibly to Dorset for a few days so will hunt out a cosy cottage for the two of us.
Hope you enjoy your break JackieO.
Glad to read that your shoulder is gradually feeling better TRU

Have a good day everyone x
• Morning chums,

Happy Friday.

My evening went as planned yesterday and I didn't do much. Just what the doctor ordered.

I've got a boxing dinner tonight which I was invited to (free). So my only expense may be a couple of drinks or a taxi home.

Oh, and thank you all for your thoughts on the Dyson. I've heard nothing but good reviews so I think I might buy it at the weekend. It's either that or a bed.

Jackie - Safe travels and enjoy the holiday!
Gers - I've a friend who grits the roads and he's scheduled in to work Saturday and Sunday as they expect snow!

Morning all

Its a bit overcast here today but no rain still, we have been lighting the log burner in the evenings as it gets very cold, the coming week is meant to be even colder.

DD is still in bed she did not get in till one clattering up the stairs and giggling, she came into the bedroom to show me a bubble wand that her young man had won for her on the pier, I think they may have had a drink or two as well :rotfl:

Not sure what we are up to today but it will have to involve shopping at some point, I might see if OH fancies a trip to Aldi which is quite a way away (they are opening one about 6 miles away soon which is much better) or if not we can go to lidl and stock up a bit.

I fancy a bbq tonight but its a bit weather dependent so we will see.

Have good days all xx

Morning all,

A few going on holiday-I hope the weather is better than the forecast, just as I thought it was getting warmer!Have a lovely time Jackie, nlmc and csarina.

I've had a busy week really, and had an excursion to the next town to meet a friend I used to work with.It wasnt as easy getting there from here, where we used to live it was either the bus round the corner or a train that took 5 minutes.Weighed up the options and went for our little bus to the train station, and a train that took 1/4 hour as the fastest option so I could weigh up the charity shops beforehand ;) Didnt buy anything apart from a couple of books for DH,stuff was cheaper but not as nice as in our local town.Lunch was in a little cafe she'd heard about which had lovely food, and we never stopped talking for 2 hours.I hadnt seen her for well over a year so it was great to catch up.

Yesterday I decided to go to Ab@khan (fabric shop) on the outskirts of town as I'd bought a mag the previous day with a few free patterns that I really liked. It was a fair walk out but there is a big asDa so I did the shop there too and DS picked me up later.I havent done any sewing since we moved here so am looking forward to making some summery tops.I've cut one out and shall start sewing when I've had a bit of a tidy.No DGC until tomorrow so its a good day to start :D

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all,

slept well last night. The hounds let me and hubby wasnt restless. Hounds woke me up this morning for their breakfast and i dont remember the men getting up and going to work.

Alarm bells are ringing, things arent going brilliantly between DD2 and her husband. Its too soon for the 7 year itch. Both at fault i'm ashamed to say. She's a bit of a control freak. Its her way or no way and he spends too much time at the pub. Oh dear. Baby number 2 is on her way and although she is already, very much loved the cracks are beginning to show between them.

Onwards and forwards with no enthusiasm but at least my drains are bleached clean.:rotfl:

have a good day all.

To all those going on holiday I hope you have a lovely time and plenty of rest !
Hugs to all those who want or need them.
Will be taking DD to her hospital appointment this afternoon, DH will drop us off as parking at the hospital is horrendous, apparently they have cordoned off the large front car park because they are extending the A & E department.
Have a good Friday everyone.

Morning one and all.

Been AWOL recently because life's stresses, strains and worries have gone into overdrive recently and I have not been in a good place.

I've been very busy too and feel like I haven't stopped so I am taking a complete break today. A day off work and I intend to do nothing other than go for a run (although I am doing 2 loads of washing and remaking me bed with clean sheets).

My phone is still off and I have no desire to see or speak to anyone. I've come home from work (which I may not still have in a few weeks time) thoroughly stressed and worn out..I seem to be getting it from all angles and my forehead is constantly creased with a frown and worry..so I am steering clear of people for the day and will endeavour to just relax, not worry and look after me for a change :o..

Happy holidays to all who are going away...hope the weather is kind to you.

Take care all :)
