Cherry, I didn't see your comments as critical just helpful. I get what you say re networking but I'm trying to avoid that as I'm afraid to blur the lines between friendship and work iykwim.
Discussed the tickets with oh and they have been purchased. This is the kind of thing that I would have just paid for out of a general budget so I think I've given him a wake up call that these are now extras. £9.25 requested from tcb. That only leaves another £123 to come up with and there's about £6.50 en route from music magpie. Hopefully he will have some odds and ends sloshing about. Just checked pa but no surveys there for me today.
Couldn't really ask for tickets from anyone as we have Alice cooper and Alison moyet tickets for later in the year that were presents from the offspring. Live shows would be our big thing so people generally will buy us tickets for these.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Spoke to a former client yesterday about a volunteer opportunity with another organisation they have links to. Been warned off however was advised of a possible upcoming piece of work for them in the autumn. Yesterday was an odd kind of a day with little to no movement on any fronts. I did however get the under the sink cupboard properly sorted and the big oven decontaminated after extensive and repeated use of oven cleaner. Will leave the wee oven to next week as I need a break from the fumes. I also ate a finger of twix, three Jaffa cakes, crisps, coated nuts and a bowl of ice cream. Today I have a meeting etc to do which is good.
Also, have soup to make!
Today I am grateful for

Well done on the oven cleaning session. I need to do mine, perhaps you wil motivate me.:whistle:
Three Jaffa cakes. How do you manage to only eat three? Surely it's the law to eat the whole packet. They go hard very quickly.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Hi parsnip. There were only 3 left in the packet! Today I had the planned meeting, got meds, got shopping and got three items dropped into the chazza. Was able to get whoopsied lunch for me and dinner for both of us.
Got a call to tell me I've been awarded the job that I bid for last week. It'll be the middle of next week at the earliest before I start but it's a guaranteed income that will probably hit around September. I'm relieved cash wise but also so happy to be working with this organisation again. It's been three years and I'm chuffed that they were happy to work with me again.
Need to chase a client for a meeting tomorrow which will hopefully speed up the issue of an invoice. I got my business mobile bill today and it is astronomical. I foolishly hadn't realised that the number an RoI client had asked me to call him on was his mobile. Three lengthy calls to an international mobile heavily contributed to a £70 bill. Looks like I'll be skyping a lot more in future. Nothing on pa today and I squandered some sb on a sweepstake. Am annoyed with myself as I'd reached enough to get a gift card.
Tonight I am grateful for

I know beanie. Got a call today from another former client who may have a wee bit of work. Maybe just a half day but it all adds up. I'm so grateful. I finally got around to posting dd's birthday parcel. I scaled down some multiples, researched, packed carefully and spent less than half what I normally would on postage. Also posted off an application for an RoI tax clearance cert. the local post office is in our co-op and I'm pleased to report that I exited without buying anything. How good is that! I did notice that they have another good frozen food multi buy on offer so I may take advantage on Monday. I binged on absolute junk today which really wasn't good. Really need to knock that on the head. I did also slightly progress a piece of work and had two calls from ex colleagues which is nice.
I also tackled our small oven and it's close to being clean. That's two things off the to do list drawn up in May. Who knows, I may even manage the fanlight this weekend. Anyhow, am shattered and heading for an early night and to re read a book.

Just catching up with all you have been achieving. It is impressive. Well done on the contract with the organisation you worked with 3 years ago. Hooray for tickets, clean ovens and successful tenders for work! Boo to horrible phone bills. That really is unpleasant. Skype or WhatsApp may, as you say, be the best way to go.
How lovely to have things ticked off your long-term list. It proves it can be done. I need to overhaul my bullet journal (got tidied away in about March and re-emerged recently: will be interesting to see what I can cross off those lists). Anyway, not having read your posts over the last few days I can see real progress.Keep up the good work!

Have had a lazy weekend so far. Today got underway with sausage sarnies prepared by OH along with a bucket of tea. Really can't be bad to that. Today I will finish off a piece of work, tackle another part of the dining room and just get general housework out of the way. Who knows, I may even make soup.
Had a few thoughts about various things. I got the black lace tree, over which has left a gap in a bed. Was going to transplant either a rose bush or another black leaved tree. Am now thing of just positioning the pot that they are in into the bed. It'd give height to the centre spot. Thoughts?
I've also decided that work wise, I need a recurring client saw on a two or three year contract. There's an opportunity due to be published this week with a body I've previously worked with. When it comes out, I'm going to call and see if I can have a frank chat about their willingness to engage with a sole trader and what PI levels they would need me to have. A guaranteed £300 per month would remove so much pressure. They have been a bit of a nightmare client but that was when I was juggling a £500k workload, staff training, tendering and other firm related stuff. I think I could be all over it now.
I just read how someone is passing up the use of a money off voucher to reduce spends, I'm gonna do likewise. Today I need to cash out an m&s voucher from sb as I have £5 off a £35 spend. This would give me an extra £5 off though it does mean that I won't make use of the sainsbugs voucher. M&s is also easier to get to.
Today I must have a look at bank accounts. I'm not expecting there to have been big changes but I still like to keep an eye on things.
Today I am grateful for
