What a sorry world we live in that a politician speaking without an autocue is noteworthy
Hey michaels, you've known me on here for a good eight or so years. You must know by now that what I find noteworthy can be somewhat tangential:D.
He did speak very well and fluidly though. Not all politicians are great orators, with or without an autocue. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Maybe they've voted in a guy that's clever enough to do the job, instead of just being well-connected enough. We can hope. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0

It's hardly been a ringing endorsement for the French Electoral system. How Le Pen even managed to make it to the final hurdle, makes the French voter look a right numptie. For us it would be like a choice between the Green Party and UKIP!0

So either you support the national front or you are voting for the EU....truly the world view of the unelected euro elite
Macron is unashamedly 100% pro-EU.
And I'm fully entitled to a modicum of smugness tonight after making a small wager on his success.;)“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

I don't think it makes French voters look like numpties, but certainly the political environment there is not in a good way. It doesn't help that Fillion got caught with his hand in the collection box, or that Hollande is incompetent. If I lived there I would be exasperated with the politicians. Heck, they may even rank lower there than estate agents.
Imagine waking up in the UK to find that the BNP were the official opposition. #badnightmarePlease stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? My hope is that 35% of French voters were voting for something more akin to ukip (don't forget we have given ukip 30+% in one national election) than the bnp/national front - the latter would be alarming.I think....0 -

Resounding pro-EU vote in France, a win for pro-EU Rutte in Holland with massive gains for the very pro-EU Greens there, and Merkel's CDU making gains in Schleswig-Holstein.
Good to see that irrational, xenophobia based populism remains contained within the boundaries of little england.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0
