Oh no, lets hope you get better soon.

Don't want to be a misery guts but 2 girls in my work were off around 2 months
    with a chest infection.

    2 months!
I’m reluctantly having another 3 days and cautiously optimistic that I’ll be well enough to go back on Monday-voice permitting. I still have no voice

having too many a/l days left was another, if your off sick then you still have them to take another time  and "swinging the lead was another" - you know I actually just looked up the meaning of that quote - and it fits perfectly :rotfl:

I rarely take time off sick, but this has knocked me for six. So I’m taking 3 sick days -one of the 4 is my day off anyway. Fingers crossed antibiotics will kick in soon x

Please take your time, chest infections, I think hang around longer than a few days. :(

Just wrote a long post, but was all about the effects of going back to work too soon. :naughty: _pale_

Thanks. I appreciate your input. I have, however had pneumonia on several occasions-I’m just cautiously optimistic that I can get well quicker. I’ve not left the house for 2 days and I’m drinking plenty of fluids and orange juice and taking my meds etc. So fingers crossed.

£35.00 overpayment on the mortgage today. :)
So over the last few months I’ve decided I’ve not been taking paying my mortgage off early, seriously enough. So, I’m now reading several books and I’m in several online groups and watching podcasts and videos to rectify this.
I’ve learned so much already and I know I still have so much more to learn.
    Onwards!

Managed a no spend day today. :j
My daughter and partner decided to have a takeaway and asked if I wanted one. I thought about it and decided I’d cook something quick instead. So I made egg and chips-1 egg-about 18pence and 4 smallish potatoes from a large bag (we had in since before Christmas)-about 50 pence worth. I had eaten mine before theirs arrived. So whilst they were eating we were discussing finances etc. I said I’m gonna be drawing the purse strings in this year. Trying to be more frugal and saving the pennies.
They said they are too. So I asked how much their takeaway was and they said £18 ish
    £18  I said!
So I worked out how much mine was and told them. As far as healthy eating goes we were all as unhealthy as each other but as for cost... I think they were a bit surprised.
I’m hoping I’m sowing little seeds of looking after the pennies. Fingers crossed.

I think that’s 6 so far this month.
Evening meal is gonna be beef stew. Beef from a joint of beef I bought over Christmas-it cost nearly £9 and I used about 1/4 of it. 1 large onion-30p ?
3 carrots 17p ish, herbs, seasoning, dumplings-butter 20p ish flour 8p ish? Herbs. All in slow cooker. Enough to do probably 6 or 7 portions-served with mash and veg. Good wholesome meal for a fiver if that. :money:
