Well, so far-since I got the mortgage, I have been making the odd overpayment, but only making one or 2 extra payments a month. Going forward I have decided to make more regular overpayments, throughout the month.
I am hoping that by doing it like this I will end up making a larger monthly overpayment in the long run. That's the plan anyway. We will see how it goes. :)
This month, I have made over payments to the total value of £64.67 so far. It doesn't sound like much, but it is only the 10th so I have another couple of weeks to add to that. :)

  • My overpayments are about that for this month at the moment.
I'm aiming for £128 this month to keep me on target for £35k at the end of the year.

Well done, that's great! It all adds up. :j
Good luck with the continued overpayments. :)

No spend days yesterday and today. :)
    Hayfever playing up today. :(
So, I've been to work. Done some washing and hung out 1 load before work and another load after. All dry and brought in now. :)
    Hoovered up.
Yesterday I made some lemon curd. I still have some lemons left and some limes so I feel more curding will be done soon. :) I didn't have castor sugar and refuse to pay expensive prices for it anyway so I made my own by putting granulated sugar in the nutribullet. You have to keep your eye on it though or it grinds into Icing sugar. ;)
Went round to friends for tea yesterday. :) delivered some gifts of lemon curd round to a couple of neighbours too.

Blimey, I've been neglecting the old diary it would seem...time just seems to be flying by these days.
Last week I made some blackberry curd. :)
I need to make some marmalade soon. I'm also hoping to start on Christmas cakes either this week or at the weekend. :)
No spend day today-so was Saturday. :)
Small overpayments are still happening on the mortgage. :) though none for a few days. :(
I need a couple of potentially expensive jobs doing on the house! :( so I need to raise some funds ASAP...and then find an honest tradesman who won't try and rip me off-had burnt fingers in the past-once bitten twice shy.

    Today's itinerary:

Usual housework jobs, vacuuming, sweeping mopping
Laundry. It's a lovely drying day, let's hope it last all day. :)
    Change bedding.
Clear out shed, I am bringing in reinforcements for this-namely DD2. :)

    I was decorating-helping someone out-yesterday and I think I may have pulled my back a bit. :(
I did have a soak in the bath last night and it does feel better now I have slept but it's still niggling. Let's hope this dissipates as the day wears on. DD1 seems to think I should find a masseuse and have a back massage!
