Hi calmgirl,
You should get more help with this on the Families board so I'll move your thread across.

I just use water with a couple of drops of tea tree oil, I don't bother with napisan etc. Hanging on the line bleaches any stains out.
A little bottle of tea tree essential oil lasts ages.0 -
ok thanks squashy, will try thatMoney's too tight to mention!!!0

I don't soak at all. Dirty ones get rinsed in the loo and just chucked in the bucket. Wet ones go in the bucket.0

be careful with tea tree, i know its fab for being antibacterial and all but it can stain some nappies with delicate fibers.
have to say im a non soaker, but if u just popped it in water - it should stop any stains setting and wash ok

I generally use napisan in the washing machine - I think it's about £2 or £3 a carton from tesco or wilkinsons. The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0

Boots Nappy Soak is a lot cheaper than Napisan usually and works well. One day I might be more organised...........

I didn't bother soaking. I would do a pre-rinse in the washing machine with bicarb soda in if they were particularly honky.Grocery challenge July £250
