    Exactly this, and it'll take a while. Probably take longer than it should if the OP continues to compare their current life with the activities of the ex partner.

    I suspect the amazing holiday that your Ex went on wasn't actually that great.

    Why not? Maybe he's loads happier since the breakup too and he had a whale of a time holidaying on his own with no arguments!

    If I waited for my ex, to be able to afford to go on hols, we wouldn't have been anywhere. Can you not maybe pay a bit towards his share of any holiday?
