Another one stuck in a country they hate?

You can love a country whilst hating it's direction and leadership.

I really dislike the idea that if you aren't behind May and Brexit that you're some sort of UK hating traitor and should leave.

I want what's best for my country, but I really don't think it's May or Brexit.

Yes one whose negotiating tack is to show Junker that Clarke was right, she is a bloody difficult woman.

Do you think she realises that being a "bloody difficult woman" means nothing, when she's competing against a clock? She has to reach an agreement with EU27 before we revert to WTO, the EU27 doesn't have to do anything. Her being difficult really just puts all of us on the back foot as the last thing we want is to be on WTO terms with our nearest neighbors and biggest import/export market.

Maybe the Queen or something can bring forward the election. There must be a piece of human rights legislation that's being breached in this process of the Labour front bench utterly humiliating themselves.

On a more serious note, I do wonder if we're going to have shy Labour this time. I mean seriously, would you admit to a stranger that you plan to vote for this shower?

I'm voting Labour. Imo May is no better. May is hiding from real people and only talking to people who agree with her. She is a liar and self interested. She wants a blank cheque and wants to control every issue. In her eyes you are either with her or against her. When challenged she gets in a flap and refuses to answer questions. We have no idea what her attitudes and policies really are! Her interview with Marr on Sunday was a disgrace. The fact that Corbyn et al are a disgrace does not distract from that!

    Oh dear.
Another one stuck in a country they hate?

I can assure you that you are not being detained against your will.
(Unless you are of course, which actually night explain quite a lot from reading your posts.)

Not at all, I love my country and wants whats best for it.
With this post, you come across as someone totally committed to Theresa May and her leadership tact.
Its either her way or the highway.

Just because I do not agree with that negotiating stance, in no way correlates with the love I have for my country.

Certainly your post is a very clear insight into your preference, to live in a dictatorship country. Get in line or get out.
That's not how I want to live and in essence, its because I love my country that I'm willing to talk out about it.

I think Herzlos sums it up very nicely

A truly great leader inspires other to follow.
May clearly does not come across as a great leader (in my opinion).

I just cannot trust her and I'm fully in alignment with your post above.

Funnily enough ending unskilled immigration from lower paid countries will improve the chances for the low paid. Remember when Carney thought unemployment of 7% might lead to wage driven inflation but was wrong because actually there were atill another 20m unemployed europeans holding down uk wages.

This is nonsense, the unskilled British get paid minimum wage and top it up with tax credits and benefits. Even if there were wage increases which imo is not at all likely but even if there were wage increases in the majority of cases it will be offset by 90%+ marginal tax/benefit reduction rates.

A simple but probably effective model would be to understand and accept the net benefit of migrants is probably strongly age related. A 20 year old migrant is likely to be a net contributor even if they are in low paid work. A 55 year old migrant is likely to be a huge net burden even if they are better paid. The UK should gladly accept migrants in their 20s

Low skilled migrants also displace the uk workforce up the skills and pay scales, they dont displace uk workers to unemployment. UK unemployment (for 6 months or more) is something like 1-2%

There are times when an election offers you a test of your character and of your morality.

Voting either UKIP or Labour means you utterly fail the test.

Macron has shown us that a new party can win big time. I think a new party of the centre could emerge. But for mass appeal it has to get away from naïve elitist urban intellectualism that so alienates ordinary people.

The Lib Dems don't fit the bill as they are too namby-pamby

    In time for June 08th?
If not, who will provide the opposition that westernpromise considers as a viable option?
