One thing we do agree on is the current situation we find ourselves in is not good for anyone.

Can they really come up with anyone worse than May? I'm not convinced.

May would have never called an election if her opponent was someone else, Corbyn was a huge factor in May's (poor) decision to call the election.
Surely May called the election because we needed 'Strong and Stable Govmt' and a team with a strong hand who could face up the 27 in brexit negotiations?

Maybe. Instead the EU will treat us like the new boy in a prison shower room.

There is a lot of humble pie being eaten today.

Jeremy Corbyn really has come out of this laughing.

TM Wins best own goal of the season ias voted for the public and the pundits.

In fact she won with several strikes of similar stupidity:-

    - claiming to be strong but unable to debate as everyone else did
    - a change in care tactics that was not thought through
    - thinks there is still a debate about the foxes
    - can only do one trick "strong and..."
    - saying bad brexit was better than whether true or not
    - adopting an aggressive stance - rather than we want a fair and sensible brexit
    - failing to land a meaningful punch on her opponent that swayed anyone not already voting for her

And should also win the Oscar for worst performance by a PM.

I think she will get the award. Political obscurity. Its just a matter of whether the assassins in the Tory Party stab her today or later in the year.
Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.

and because her opponent was Corbyn, and because she was being an opportunist. You have to think 'what could go wrong' (which she didn't, or at least not strongly enough).
