really don't know if this is the easiest way to import contacts to outlook

goto gmail.com in browser. click 'contacts' from the gmail dropdown menu (top left). from the menu list on the left side click 'go to the old version' at the bottom then click 'more' then 'import' you will then have a option to import from file

if you then link your gmail contacts with outlook they should also sync. i tested it yesterday by adding a new contact to gmail and the contact appeared in outlook

It is the Microsoft Community Forum BUT if you scroll down, after the question "I can't figure out how to get my Outlook.com contacts list into the Mail" it gives you the answers as have several posters already.
