Importing Contacts to mail

Can someone please tell me how to Import Contacts to mail in Win 10?

    It is usually an import function but it depends where your contacts are stored now. Try this link.

    Have MS added an "import contacts" function yet? If not, the act of adding an existing email account (eg gmail, hotmail) should automatically include the contacts that those accounts had.

    No import is not there - I have the accounts already added but the long list of contacts not there - I have them saved on an external hard drive

    Sorry, not familiar with MS stuff (as you can tell); how about import to outlook.com or hotmail.com (from your -assumed- CSV file on your external hard drive); may have to create a temporary account there of-course if you dont have one already; then add that (account+contacts) to [Windows 10] Mail.

    import to a gmail account and then add account to win 10 people?

    When you followed the instructions in the link I provided, what happened. Were you able to click on FILE, IMPORT?

    Open Windows Live Mail by selecting the Start button. ...
    In the lower-left corner, select Contacts.
    Select Import on the ribbon.
    Select the file format that matches your exported contacts (.csv or .vcf).
    Select Browse and then select the folder containing your exported contacts.

    This might help

    I am not trying to import to Windows Live Mail contacts were there but now exported to an external hard drive & My Docs., I am wanting to import to Mail.
