Reviews on Estate Agents Inverurie, Aberdeenshire

Does anyone have any reviews, good or bad in Inverurie,Aberdeenshire on estate agents/solicitors for buying/ selling property?
There seems to be Peterkins, Raeburn Christie, and Aberdein Considine.
Would appreciate hearing from people who have experience of the estate agents above.
Thanks.

  • I don't have any experience of the other two, but I would strongly advise against using Aberdein Considine. I had a couple of bad experiences with their Aberdeen branch when I was buying my flat in 2013, including but not limited to the fact that on moving day they sent the keys to the property to my solicitor's who were 70 miles away and refused to courier them so I had to go and collect them with all of my possessions in the back of my car.

Fast forward 3 years and my partner was looking to put his house on the market... they don't answer the phone nor reply to emails first time (so I imagine they treat prospective viewers the same way, and then they have the cheek to say the house isn't selling "because of the market"... em no, it's because you're not easily contactable), they try and fob you off with every excuse under the sun as to why the house isn't moving, and they need an upfront payment before advertising, so where is the incentive for them to actually sell the place?!

To tell you the truth we both swore we'd never use them again but as my partner's sister had sold her house the month before we were looking to sell his, we managed to get a promotional rate. Obviously this is only relevant if the house actually gets to completion stage. The reason my partner wasn't keen to use them again is that when he was first looking to buy 4 years ago they told him he would never get a mortgage because of his age, and basically made him feel 2 feet tall. He went straight to The Kellas Partnership who said of course he would get a mortgage, he has an excellent salary and an excellent credit rating, and they couldn't understand why A&C would have said that!
