The OH has makeup on her hands in the mornings and has made the plastic trim on the outside of my car have makeup stains.

It's been slowly building up over months without me realising because it's on the passenger side.
Has she considered cleaning her hands after applying the makeup?

If it's on the door trim, I hate to think what the seatbelt's like, and the door handles.

I'd love to hear the justification behind that comment.
It doesn't need any justification. Anyone rushing to the T-cut whenever they have a stain to get rid of particularly when there are loads more suitable products to be using has simply no idea how to care for a car's bodywork correctly.
