    USB port (on my Ford Mondeo anyway) is in the glove box.

    I think you need to see a Ford dealer to get an update on the software to ensure your older model radio is compatible with the newer phone.
    In the US owners can do it themselves but UK owners have to use the dealer.

    My 2014 Focus is fine with all types of phone. The handbook is pretty useless IMHO, trying to figure out DAB was 'wonderful'.

    I found this useful, though primarily Focus orientated it has a insight into Ford Sync;
